The movement in the sculpture reflects the vigorous and flamboyant movements of the two dancers as they twirl across the dance floor together.

Peter’s work is a wonderful combination of complexity and simplicity. He manages to create a twisting, twirling movement while keeping the finishing very clean. The result is an intriguing sculpture combined with great technical ability.

Peter Gwisa is one of Guruve’s most popular artists. This is one of only two medium-sized sculptures we have from Peter this year, sadly!

Amazingly, Peter sculpts each of his artworks from a single solid piece of raw stone. The green lines in the stone are entirely natural, part of the process of the formation of the serpentine stone; they are not cracks or lines of weakness.

Springstone is a hard variety of serpentine stone.  It is dense and impermeable with very few flaws that might be exacerbated by frost action.  Therefore, it is suitable for outdoor display – though this piece is a very versatile size and could be displayed indoors equally happily.

This sculpture is in the UK and will be shipped from there; P&P at buyer’s expense.
