As they rise from bed, this person is stretching the crinkles of sleep out of their body, elbows flying!

Peter’s work is a wonderful combination of complexity and simplicity. He manages to create energetic movement in the stone, while keeping the finishing very clean. The result is an intriguing sculpture combined with great technical ability.

Amazingly, Peter sculpts each of his artworks from a single solid piece of raw stone. He is one of Guruve’s most popular artists. This is one of only two medium-sized sculptures we have from Peter this year, sadly!

Springstone is the local Zimbabwean name for a very hard variety of serpentine stone. It is an excellent sculpture medium: it has a dense, even internal structure and is virtually flawless. It is perfect for Peter’s technically challenging style, and can be displayed indoors or outside.

This sculpture is in the UK and will be shipped from there; P&P at buyer’s expense.
