“Everybody looks at her as she walks by, because she is so beautiful. She doesn’t need make up and a fancy hairstyle, [hers is] a natural beauty, she was just lucky to be born that way.”
She is the ideal of female beauty created from a material that is also naturally beautiful.
Red jasper is a semi-precious gemstone that is finding increasing favour among Zimbabwean sculptors. Since red jasper is so extremely hard, it needs electric tools to be worked, as this can’t be done by hand. Therefore, it is difficult and expensive to sculpt but the end result is absolutely extraordinary, and worth all the time and effort.
All colour and texture within the stone is entirely natural. There are some small inclusions of white quartz and other minerals within the red jasper. They don’t affect the internal strength of the stone and it is fine for outdoor display in any climate.
This sculpture is in the UK and will be shipped from there; P&P at buyer’s expense.
