This piece is being advertised for sale on behalf of its current owner, who purchased it from the respected Matombo Gallery in Harare, Zimbabwe in 1989:

This lovely colourful sculpture is a perfect example of Richard Mteki’s classic style. A really delightful artwork that deserves pride of place in any Shona sculpture collection. Recently fully restored by the experts here at Guruve, it’s in pristine condition.
Matombo’s reference number 659 is deeply inscribed above Mteki’s signature on the back of the piece.
