Lepidolite is a mineral of the mica group, containing lithium. This deep purple variety of lepidolite stone came from Mutoko, one of two sources in Zimbabwe. An example of the paler lilac variety of lepidolite from the other mine in Bikita is this piece: Beautiful Head by Sylvester Mubayi.
