Rufaro won the prestigious NAMA prize for sculpture in 2015, and was a finalist in 2017, 2016 and 2014. His work is elegant and beautifully detailed, and he was a deserving winner.

Rufaro’s very talented brother Stephen Murenza has joined our gallery too, so please check out his sculptures as well.

Springstone is the local Zimbabwean name for a hard variety of serpentine stone. It is suitable for outdoor display, but we would recommend covering this piece during a hard frost for peace of mind, as some parts of the sculpture are quite thin.
