‘Butter jade’ is the local Zimbabwean name for this beautiful variety of stone, which comes from near Birchenough Bridge in southeastern Zimbabwe. Actually, it is not jade: possibly, it’s related to agate.
It’s extremely hard stone. Therefore, it’s suitable for outdoor display, even in temperate climates. We have already drilled the base of sculpture, ready for installation, and we can supply a suitable pin.
