“She has grown up in traditional Shona culture, where women wear the traditional headscarf called ‘dhugu’.”

Women are no longer expected to wear the ‘dhugu’ these days, certainly not in towns and cities. However, this lady still chooses to wear it because she likes the way it makes her look, she feels it enhances her beauty.

This lovely sculpture is a very versatile size, which could be displayed indoors or outdoors.

Leopard rock is a hard variety of serpentine stone; typically it’s pale yellow/green with black dots, though this is darker green than usual. The colours and texture within the stone are entirely natural, enhanced by the application of a coat of clear wax. It is impermeable, with very few flaws that might be exacerbated by frost action. Therefore, it is suitable for outdoor display even in temperate climates.
