“I know you will return, but I still can’t stop my reaction.”
She is waiting for her lover to return. She knows she shouldn’t feel lonely, but she does. Life goes on around her but she feels empty inside.
This lovely sculpture is an original and unique work of art. Tutani has signed and dated it on the back. We provide a wealth of supporting literature with every Guruve sculpture. This includes a certificate of authenticity and Tutani’s biography with a photo of him with this very piece.
‘Cobalt stone’ is the local Zimbabwean name for this fascinating purple and green variety of serpentine. As far as we know, it doesn’t contain any actual cobalt mineral – perhaps it was originally discovered near a cobalt mine.
Typically, cobalt stone is not quite as hard as springstone, though it is still much more durable than soapstone. For this reason, we wouldn’t recommend this piece for outdoor display over winter. It is a very versatile size, and would be perfect for indoor display too.
