“A call for unity for all African people.”
The loops are the different people, different cultures, across the vast continent of Africa. Tonde is saying they should work together, because that way they will achieve so much more. He says they should celebrate their shared characteristics rather than arguing about their differences.
There’s a wonderful flowing energetic movement in this lovely little sculpture. Tonderai has restrained himself to a pleasing symmetry, the balance and proportions are perfect – what a lovely thing!
This fantastic little sculpture would be great for a central focal point in a small space, as it has interest from every angle. It’s also great value for money as an original sculpture, a unique but affordable work of art.
It would also make a super gift – an original work of art, signed by the artist, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. In addition, we provide Tonderai’s biography (with a photo of him with One Love Africa). There’s also a brief history of the Shona sculpture movement.
