“Calming music cools the body and the mind.”
The smooth flow of the lines of the sculpture move easily, like well-arranged musical notes. They glide through space like music dancing around your ears.
At just under a metre tall, this elegant fluid sculpture is a very versatile height. For instance, displaying it on a tall thin plinth in a flowerbed would create a perfect centrepiece in a garden. Equally, it would not be overwhelming on a low plinth on a patio. And of course, it’s small enough that it could also be a terrific statement in a large indoor space.
As with all his sculptures, Tonderai has carved this piece by hand from a single piece of raw stone.
Springstone is the local name for a hard type of serpentine stone. It has a dense, even internal structure of small grains of rock with very few flaws, and is the perfect medium for Tonderai’s technically challenging style.
The piece is in the UK and will be shipped from there; P&P at buyer’s expense.
