This substantial sculpture is the biggest piece we have from Willard this year, and it has a real wow factor! We think it would be perfect for a garden centrepiece, as it looks fabulous from every angle.
Willard was one of Guruve’s most popular artists last year, and we have yet another fabulous collection of sculptures from him in 2023 – great work, Willard!
Regardless of size, every one of his sculptures is fluid and elegant. In addition, he chooses stones that are full of colour and intriguing texture. The colours in the stone are entirely natural, merely enhanced by the application of a coat of clear wax.
We named this hard variety of serpentine stone ‘avocado’, after its striking green and yellow colouration. It is hard and impermeable, so it is suitable for outdoor display. The creamy pale green and black palette of the stone works well with natural materials such as wood and sandstone.
