The movement twists and turns, but overall the movement is upward. So, starting from the base, there is great potential for the future.
This lovely curvaceous sculpture has a real wow factor! We think it would be perfect for a garden centrepiece, as it looks fabulous from every angle.
Willard was one of Guruve’s most popular artists last year, and we have yet another fabulous collection of sculptures from him for 2023 – great work, Willard!
Amazingly, as with all Willard’s sculptures, he has carved this lovely piece from a single solid piece of stone. He wields his chisel like a paintbrush, creating confident sweeping lines. Regardless of size, every one of his sculptures is fluid and elegant.
In addition, he chooses stones that are full of colour and intriguing texture. The colours in the stone are entirely natural, merely enhanced by the application of a coat of clear wax.
We named this hard variety of serpentine stone ‘avocado’, after its striking green and yellow colouration. It is hard and impermeable, so it is suitable for outdoor display. The creamy pale green and black palette of the stone works well with natural materials such as wood and sandstone.
We have drilled into the base of this piece, as we do for most of our larger sculptures. We can also supply a suitable pin.
