Sculpture garden at Harare’s new Shona Sculpture Gallery

Guruve’s sister gallery, the Shona Sculpture Gallery, finally opened its gates to the public in March 2016 after three years of preparation. With a delightful sculpture garden and a Spanish-style verandah for smaller works, we are already getting great reviews on TripAdvisor. A much-needed positive development for the art movement and artists on the ground in Zimbabwe!

SSG is located at 20 Airport Road so it’s easy to find if you’re ever passing through Harare, Zimbabwe, and we look forward to welcoming you!

Ephraim is particularly well-known for his endearing sculptures of horses. He is featured in (and is pictured on the cover of) ‘Myth and Magic: The Art Of The Shona Of Zimbabwe’ by Joy Kuhn.
