Jonathan trained with the late, great Zimbabwean sculptor Joseph Ndandarika. This self-contained and precisely sculpted piece reflects Joseph’s lasting influence.
Interestingly, rhyolite is a new stone for Guruve this year. It’s igneous, and as far as we can ascertain comes from southern and central Zimbabwe. Gorgeous colour!
Jonathan has also left some of the surface in its natural state, to remind us where the sculpture has come from.
