“They are getting their heads together to discuss family affairs.”
Each upright represents a person, a senior family member. Each upper circle represents two people – each is a head shared by with two bodies. The form of the sculpture neatly captures a meeting, where people literally get their heads together!
It’s a super example of Nesbert’s minimalist style. Visually striking from all angles, it would make a superb garden focal point.
This dense hard variety of serpentine stone, known in Zimbabwe as springstone, is a great sculpture medium – especially for works such as this, where the artist removes much of the stone and leaves a delicate shape.
It’s suitable for display both indoors and outdoors. We have drilled the sculpture ready for installation and we can supply a suitable pin. The subtle green and brown veins in the stone are entirely natural, they are not cracks or flaws.
