Springstone is a hard variety of serpentine stone with very few flaws, and is therefore an excellent sculpture medium. The stone in its natural form is a pale charcoal grey. Through the sculpture process, when an artist sands, heats, waxes and polishes the springstone, it turns a shiny black.
The base of sculpture is already drilled, ready for installation, and we can supply a suitable pin.
