An abstract representation of a singer’s head. The holes are the eyes and mouth. Their mouth is wide open, sending out a song.
This stunning smaller sculpture is excellent value for money for a unique work of art. It is fundamental for Guruve that our smaller pieces are of equal quality to the larger pieces, so customers with a smaller budget do not have to compromise. It would also make a stunning gift.
This is one of only two small sculptures we have from Peter this year, sadly!
Domboshawa opal stone is the local Zimbabwean name for a porous and relatively soft variety of serpentine stone (in comparison with springstone, verdite etc., it’s still harder than soapstone). For this reason, we recommend it for indoor display only (where no deterioration will occur) and we only show small sculptures in this material. Which is a shame, because the colour is fabulous, especially the reddish-pink tones.
